Q. How do I register for workshops or webinars?
A. You may register online.

Q. How soon am I required to register?
A. Registration must be received three weeks prior to the workshop or webinar you wish to attend. You will be notified of acceptance by email approximately two weeks prior to the workshop or webinar. Read your email carefully for directions and handouts. Confirmation must be received in order to attend; arrive promptly and provide your confirmation when you sign in.

Q. Who can register for these workshops and webinars?
A. Our professional development workshops, trainings and webinars are open to all Illinois early childcare providers and administrators. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis; preference is given to providers from Block Grant/Preschool for All programs.

Q. Are their prerequisites for training?
A. All workshop/webinars are categorized by topic, training stage and foundational tracks. Prerequisites can be found in the workshop/webinar description.

Q. Can I get credit for attendance?
A. All our professional development workshops and webinars qualify for an Evidence of Completion for Professional Development Certificate.  This is as of July 1, 2014.  Attendance for the entire session, whether onsite or online is required to receive credit. Some workshops may also carry educational or credentialing credit.

Q. Where are workshops or trainings held?
A. Workshops are conducted at locations in each of the five regions statewide.

Q. Is there a workshop or webinar fee?
A. There is no fee for our workshops or webinars.

Q. What if a workshop is canceled or if I need to cancel my registration?
A. Workshops/webinars may be cancelled by the Early Childhood Center of Professional Development due to low enrollment. (15 participants are required) We will notify you by phone or email if a workshop/webinar is cancelled. Visit our website for last minute updates; a workshop may be rescheduled pending the presenter’s availability. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact the center at least 24 hours in advance so we may notify those on a wait list of the opportunity to attend.
