Illinois' Tool for Early Childhood Excellence/Educators (I-TEACHe) is an online observation and documentation tool to help teachers gather information about a child's progress in the preschool classroom. I-TEACHe is not an assessment system but is used with an assessment system.
In partnership with the Technology Center for Learning and Teaching, we offer training sessions throughout the year in person as well as online. Details about upcoming I-TEACHe sessions are listed in the current Professional Development Catalog.
Watch for a slideshow presentation of I-TEACHe.
Prerequisite: Participants must have completed training in implementing a research based assessment system (e.g., Work Sampling System Illinois, High Scope's Child Observation Record (COR), Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum, Teaching Strategies GOLD, Early Learning Scale, etc.) and be actively using the assessment system in their classroom.
