Patterns, Shapes and Spaces

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to: Define patterns and identify their characteristics, explain how ordering, sequencing and patterning are connected, plan activities that involve patterns, describe the developmental trajectory of pattern comprehension in young children, plan for supporting children's developmental understanding of patterns, define geometry for young children, explain three foundational concepts about shapes, identify the components of spatial reasoning, describe the developmental levels of geometric thinking and plan for supporting geometry in the classroom.

Pre-requisite: Participants must have attended Welcome to STEAM: Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics in Early Childhood Education
and Making Sense of Number Sense.
