Robotics and Coding for Multilingual Learners and Dual-Identified Children

What if the beginning of the day became an intentional opportunity for play, conversation, language development, and observation? In this session, participants will explore the Playlogue—a 30–45-minute daily block designed to bring play, laWhat if robotics and coding could become powerful opportunities for language, collaboration, and problem-solving—not just technology skills? In this session, participants will explore developmentally appropriate, hands-on robotics and coding experiences designed for young children, including engaging activities that do not require screens.

Through playful challenges and collaborative problem-solving, participants will consider how robotics and coding can create authentic opportunities for children to communicate, use new vocabulary, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. Strategies for increasing access and participation for multilingual learners and dual-identified children will be woven throughout the session.
