Starting the Day in Play and Dialogue: the Playlogue for MLs and Dual Identified Children

What if the beginning of the day became an intentional opportunity for play, conversation, language development, and observation? In this session, participants will explore the Playlogue—a 30–45-minute daily block designed to bring play, language, and literacy together in meaningful and purposeful ways.

Participants will learn how to design Playlogue experiences that invite children to communicate, collaborate, and explore while creating opportunities to support individualized language and learning goals. We will also examine how educators and related service providers can use children's authentic play and interactions as a window into their strengths, interests, language development, and learning.
