Researching the concerns of parents and community members, principals and teachers, religious leaders and business leaders, elected officials and philanthropists has led to the new five-year action plan of the Chicago Public Schools. The Plan is entitled "The Next Generation: Chicago’s Children.” Strategies have been outlined that will be refined and strengthened as schools move forward through continued feedback and new insights. The goal of the "2013 - 2018 Action Plan” is that every student in every neighborhood be engaged in a rigorous, well-rounded instructional program and will graduate prepared for success in college, career and life.
